Abdurraheem Green was born in Dar-es-salaam in Tanzania. His father was a colonial administrator in the then extant British Empire.

Educated at a famous Roman Catholic Monastic boarding school, Ampleforth College, it was there that he really started to question what life was all about and how much sense the traditions he was being brought up with really made.

It was while he was working in the City (London) that his delving into every aspect of spirituality, philosophy and psychology came to a head. It was then when he picked up a copy of the Quran and upon reading it he was convinced that it was revelation from God, and thus started his journey into Islam. This was in 1987. Since that time he has been active in the in letting others know about Islam – Dawah.

Abdurraheem spent many years at Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park, where he made his name as an inspirational orator. His work now takes across the UK and internationally delivering talks and presentations on Islam. He has delivered keynote addresses at many high profile international events.

He is a regular presenter on Peace TV with many of his lectures widely watched on YouTube.

Abdurraheem is a founding member and chairman of the Islamic Education & Research Academy (iERA)
